SunMan Flexible 430 Watt Solar Panel
Sunman Flexible Solar Panels are lightweight, bendable photovoltaic (PV) modules designed to generate solar power in situations where traditional rigid glass-framed panels aren’t ideal. Widely used on vehicles to generate power while in motion and used recreational on off-road vehicles. Benefits include resistance to damage by protruding tree branches, bump and scratches. Even the occasional stepping on the panel will not compromise the cells or integrity of the panel. They use monocrystalline solar cells embedded in a flexible composite “skin”, enabling installation on curved or uneven surfaces and making them highly versatile for various applications.
📌 Flexible & Ultra-Light Design
- These panels are glass-free, about 70% lighter and up to 95% thinner than conventional solar modules.
- The construction allows bending and contouring to fit rooftops, vehicles, boats, or RV surfaces where rigid panels won’t work.
🔋 Monocrystalline Cells
- High-efficiency monocrystalline cells used in many Sunman models deliver better performance per square metre than many thin-film alternatives.
🛠 Durable & Weather-Resistant
- Certified to internationally recognised IEC durability and safety standards (e.g., IEC 61215, IEC 61730) — meaning they’re tested for thermal cycling, moisture resistance, and mechanical stress.
- Panels can withstand harsh conditions including hail resistance (depending on model).
⚡ Simple Installation
- Flexible panels can often adhere directly to surfaces with adhesives or be secured via eyelets and brackets — eliminating bulky mounting racks and reducing installation labour and cost.
- Because of their light weight, they do not normally require reinforced roof structures.
📉 Environmental Benefits
- Reduced material use and lighter shipping weight can significantly lower the carbon footprint compared to traditional glass-covered panels.
